It was such a wonderful , warm day on Saturday that I wanted to be outside at all costs! Soooo, I started to wash these cool awnings by hand and soon decided I would be there all day! So, Larry, my friendly neighbor lent me his power washer....
It worked great and was very fun to use...like a water machine gun! I even left hubby a message on the driveway....oh ya!!!!! Well, you'll soon be seeing these in the barn...the sale is less than 2 months away! 
Yesterday we had the most beautiful snow, (a huge thing for us East Texans!!)...about 4 inches and it looked so wonderful on the trees and plants...it just make everything look so fresh and clean!

Do you remeber these great blue lockers that we had at the fall sale? Well, one of my sweet friends bought them for her son's room! They got a makeover and now fighting Aggie Maroon! Whoop!!!
Don't they look great and I love that they are functional also. This guy stores all his sports stuff, some clothes and other guy things in them...isn't nice that everything is organized and not on the floor???? Of course, the football helmets add a touch of decor also! Touchdown!
I also spotted where my friend had hung up her hymnal rack....in the bathroom! What a clever idea!!!! It is a great place for a little reading, don't you think? Football was definetly on the brain yesterday! Watch out, if you invite me over, I may be bringing my camera and checking in on how you are using all your barn sale finds too! 
Rebekah and I got the Valentines box out today...It was the perfect day to be "crafty". I still love a handmade valentine and those who really know me, know that Valentines Day is my second favorite holiday and we like to celebrate it at our house!!! Rebekah and I decided to try these heart flowers that I saw in the recent Family Fun magazine...
All you do is cut out 3 hearts, 2 leaves and the center piece...you fold the leaves so they are creased, punch a hole in the bottom or middle of the pieces and insert the sucker in the hole, then put scotch tape under the leaves to hold it all in place...the magazine suggested writing your valentines messages on the leaves...we added stickers to this one!
I loved that this is a valentine idea that little hands can do also....

A friend and I recently went shopping at Canton...we had a fun day looking and buying...Here are some of the treasures we found! Most will be for sale in April!
These Italian Tole Sconces are wonderful and a matched pair...The colors are beautiful, the camera didn't do them justice!
I found lots of sweet birds and "springy" items....I was dreaming of warmer weather...

I loved this new mirrored set...so many places you could use this set! A french Parisan look!
So, I was at an Estate sale this morning (saw some of you there!) and this sweet lady was looking at a stack of plates. She looked at me and said,"Do you hang plates on the wall?" And how to you do it?" Well, of course, I had a few ideas for her and hanging plates on the wall is one if my favorite decorating accessories! I thought I would show you a few ways that I use plates around the house....besides eating on them!
I just added the purple plates above these pictures and love them! Remeber always hang groupings in an odd number...somehow they just look better that way!
Plates are wonderful fillers for bookshelves and a great way to add a punch of color to any space!
I really like using them mixed in with other vintage or new items... 
It was such a gorgeous day yesterday and we had to get out to the barn anyway....SO, Rebekah talked Poppi into giving her a riding lesson and we had to give Buster Billy a cool down walk afterwards.... I'm not sure who is walking who???
They love spending time together...It is so precious to see your daughter get to make the same memories that I have with her grandpa that I made with my dad...it is like time is repeating itself....my dad always took us for pony rides on Sunday afternoon and my sweet mom finally got some peace and quiet....
Now, I just snapped a few quick pictures of items for sale in April...still love the mannequins!!
This is a bad picture of a really cool vintage JP Coats rack...probably used to sale rick rack or ribbon....black, metal..It would make a great organizer hanging on the wall!
I have lots of hymnal rack holders...here is a new kind that I have not had before...They even have the cup holders on the ends...
