My Arkansas FINDS!!!

Got ya!!! Of course, I had to throw this picture in for fun! I left these beauties behind! Aren't you glad??

I did find some pretty milk glass, ironstone and newer pottery pieces all in white. It looks great for any occasion!

Assorted metal, cute black bench and don't you love my funky squirrel?

Little green stool - great color!

this is an industrial shade cutter...You'll have to come to the sale to see what other industrial pieces I have....
I was told this was a nail sorter?, it has all the different lenghts on the sides...I thought it would be a great organizer on a desk!

Do you know what these are? I didn't. They are the seat backs off of theater seats, in the box is where they put your name or reservation number to hold your seat. Aren' t they cool??? They are metal and I have an idea on how to merchandise them. Come to the next sale and see if it works!

Grey lockers, would be great painted....I love the height on them, they are really tall and the single doors are harder to find! ( I am selling lots of lockers and they are the only thing I will sell before the next sale, so email me if you are interested!)

My first large purchase...I love this French style over stuffed chair! Hope you do too!
Well, those are some of my finds, lots more but I couldn't show you everything!
5 weeks away til sale date and we are counting down!!!!!
See you soon!

South Texas Trip - Part 2!

After a yummy lunch, I spied a garage sale across the street at this very cute gardening company...so I just had to check it out! The smalls I found are above...the nest on a stand is my favorite...
and these are the larger items....did I say that I needed a larger car?? Anyway, I am really good at cramming my "jewels" in the car! Don't you love them..the brown table has great pattern on the wood....just needs a little clean up!

Next on the Texas tour was the town of Shiner Texas....well known for their beer brewery. It has been in operation over 100 years and they give free tours as well as free beverages...my hubby was happy to sample their varities of flavors.... I loved the sign above!

A picture of the Spoetzl brewery....it was very interesting to say the least!
Just one more day and the trip was done...a few more pictures and my favorite find later!
Happy 4th of July friends!
LONG MAY SHE WAVE!

South Texas Trip - Junkin' all the way!!!

Well, this past weekend we headed to Houston area...my brother and sister-in-law sweetly offered to keep and treat our girl to a fun weekend and Mark and I hit the road for a fun time together. Mark stopped at every antique and junk shop along the way! Yeah!!!! After stopping in Colombus, Weimar, and Shulenburg I finally found this cute shabby shelf. I was beginning to give up...I thought if I see another piece of glassware I might scream! I thought this shelf looked like a christmas tree, so it might show up at the christmas sale...

Then, we stopped at this place, can you beileve it? Have you seen that show American Pickers? It is on History channel on Monday nights...it's about 2 guys that travel around buying antiques to resell....Mark teases me about being a "picker" which of course I am! So anyway, we stopped and dug through this mess....
I'm not sure about the antique or treasure part, but we where having fun together.....

So, would you have stopped?? I want to know...
Well, here are the 2 things that I dug out of that place....Both need a little TLC... I thought they both had potential!!!
Stay tuned for more from our trip.... (the finds get better!)
